The bank was first registered as the centre for wealth creation and started operations at Kasei in the Ashanti Region, by then board chairman. There was one commercial bank at Amantin, which later collapsed. The directors of the then centre for wealth creation decided to relocate the financial house to Amantin and the name was then changed to Amantin an Kasei to serve both communities. Amantin is in the Bono East Region and Kasei in the Ashanti Region. It has since it's founding been headquartered at the Amantin in the Bono East Region.
